Gerald Schotman is chief technology officer at Royal Dutch Shell. He oversees the development and deployment of technology to deliver Shell’s energy projects across the world. Schotman is also executive vice president of Innovation/R&D, where he’s responsible for Shell’s technology strategy as well as the creation and development of new technologies. Mr. Schotman has held assignments in in Brunei, the U.K., and Oman, where he covered a wide range of engineering activities—from front-end/concept through design to project and facilities engineering. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University in The Netherlands.
