Dr. Gabriela Salvador, MD, MPH, is the Director of Health & Human Development at Pro Mujer. Dr. Salvador is a physician who specializes in health policy and management, microfinance and health, pediatrics and ophthalmology. In addition, she is an advocate for women’s health and reproductive rights. Salvador has worked closely with various organizations in the U.S. and Latin America by helping develop numerous programs to provide underserved populations with access to primary care and preventive services as well as high-impact healthcare products. Originally from Salta, Argentina, Dr. Salvador studied Medicine at the National University of Córdoba and finished her residency in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later she completed a Surgical Fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in California and the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Salvador also earned a Master’s in Public Health in the area of Health Policy and Management, with a focus in Microfinance from the Harvard School of Public Health.
