Christopher Raxworthy has studied chameleons in Madagascar for over 20 years, and found more than 150 previously unknown species of reptiles and amphibians. He is Associate Curator of Vertebrate Zoology in the Department of Herpetology at the American Museum of Natural History. He is also Associate Dean of Science for Education and Exhibition and an associate professor at the museum’s Richard Gilder Graduate School, and serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia University.
