Carl Imhoff directs research and development regarding country-wide electrical grids at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as for other government and commercial clients. Trained as an electrical engineer, Imhoff’s technical work emphasizes systems engineering and operations research in the areas of power system reliability, smart grid, energy efficiency, energy storage and clean generation. He has spent 29 years at PNNL conducting and managing a broad range of energy research.
