Ardis Hoven M.D. will take office in 2010 as chair of the American Medical Association. She served as a member and chair of the AMA’s Council on Medical Service, where she contributed to AMA policy on access to health care, covering the uninsured and Medicare and Medicaid reform. Dr. Hoven specializes in internal medicine and infectious disease, and participated in the Kentucky task force for HIV/AIDS.
