		<description>Mr. Napier, would you please provide the details about which journals contain this information? I&#039;m surprised that Dr. Shulte doesn&#039;t make that extraordinary claim, given that he&#039;s identified here as Shell&#039;s Chief Scientist for Reservoir Engineering; I would think such information would be his bread and butter. Even he speaks of &quot;coming DECADES,&quot; not millenia.

I certainly hope we don&#039;t use fossil fuels etc. for 2,000 years -- even if we have a *million* years&#039; worth of the stuff -- for reasons of pollution alone.</description>

		<description>Just read in a couple of indutry trade pulications that with the recent discoveries in the gulf and the Bakken formation in the midwest, we have enough domestic oil reserves ALREADY DISCOVERED to meet domestic demand for over two thousand years at present demand trends. Wow. I think that soon the biotic theory of oil formation will be relegated to the status of myth. Now, we must get the politicians out of the way so we can exploit these resources!</description>
