When one considers that a proper material flow could yield dimethyl-ether, plastic, and fly ash, it&#039;s obvious that coal is a viable alternative to oil in all kinds of ways. Unfortunately, it&#039;s difficult to overcome the negative connotations attached to the word &quot;coal&quot; by the marketing efforts of companies more concerned with monetizing the products of existing infrastructures in the short term than they are with long-term sustainability.</description>
