The State of the Future report looks at future trends in world affairs ten years down the road. Glenn, co-author of the report, is Director of the Millennium Project, a global futures think tank under the auspices of the grassroots World Federation of UN Associations.

    Dear Jerry,

    Is there a tyranny in the balance you are extolling? Is there something of value missing from the widely shared and consensually-validated “balance” that appears to have been artificially ‘established’ about what is come in Century XXI?

    Do you see any naturally persuasive scientific evidence for our reckless pursuit of a patently unsustainable “primrose path” to the future?
