Mr. Herren might try going to an American Agricultural school I reccommend Texas A&M, my alma maater. We know a lot about the biology of soil. We know a lot about the chemistry and physics of soil. Unfortunately, we don' use our knowledge very well.

The best way to help the small farmer (I am not sure what the reference to "woman farmers" means) is to allow them to own the farm and control the farm without government intervention and with very low taxes. Then, they will, in accordance with market realities, learn what and how much to grow and how to grow it. Science is no good when bastardized by politically correct bureacracies.
