Too bad the Copenhagen summit failed to substantively address these concerns in any tangible, enforceable manner. I grow increasingly afraid that these rises in temperature–exceeding 4 degrees–will simply occur before people become sufficiently invested in changing the planet and the way they live. It’s almost as if people need to be forced to suffer first before they will agree to effect change. Depressing, but true. People will look back at these decades in which we now live as the time we failed to take action, and ushered in an age of global natural disasters.
