The pointer star is from an Aboriginal dreamtime story. It is about two brothers who are very good hunters. One day, they decided to go hunting in the mountain for some food for their tribe. They found an emu and killed it and continued up the mountain. Some how, the dead emu attracted the flies and the flies wouldn't go away. The two brothers decided to set fire to the emu to burn the flies of so they wouldn't ruin the emu meat. Suddenly,a strong wind came and made the fire grow bigger. The two brothers had no where to go so they climbed up on a rocky ledge. The fire drew closer and began to burn their skin. Then, the brothers realised the had wings and flew out over the fire. They still remain in the sky today.
