EarthSky Communications won a 2008 Davey Award in the education category. The Davey Awards honors the creative excellence of companies worldwide.

In 2008, EarthSky won multiple Communicator Awards, which are awards honoring creative excellence.

The Communicator Awards are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Entries are considered against a high standard of excellence based on the Communicator Awards’ 14-year history of judging work. In 2008, the Communicator Awards received over 8,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

EarthSky Communications has joined New Yorker Fiction, NPR, CNN and ESPN and eight others as a 2008 Webby Honoree in the “Podcasts”:http://www.webbyawards.com/webbys/current_honorees.php?media_id=96&category_id=89&season=12 Category.
“The Webby Awards”:http://www.webbyawards.com/index.php have been hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times. This is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.
*Learning Blog Award*
In May 2007, “Life Learning Today”:http://lifelearningtoday.com/, a life improvement blog, has recognized EarthSky with a Learning Blog Award.
EarthSky received this designation for “consistently providing well written information that is both useful and interesting.”

EarthSky Communications, Inc. is the winner of two Davey Awards, an international creative award which honors outstanding creative work from small companies.
EarthSky received a gold award for its popular, internationally syndicated _Earth & Sky_ radio series, heard 9 million times daily around the world. The _Earth & Sky_ website received a silver award and was also honored recently by the W3 Awards.
*2007 Webby Award*
International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences selected EarthSky as an Official Honoree of the 11th Annual Webby Awards in April 2007.
The Official Honoree distinction is awarded to work that scores in the top 15% of all work entered into the Webby Awards. With over 8,000 entries received from all 50 states and over 60 countries, this is an outstanding accomplishment for EarthSky.
*EarthSky A Winner In 12th Annual Communicator Awards*
In February 2007, EarthSky won an Award of Distinction in the 13th annual Communicator Awards.
The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries were judged by industry professionals who looked for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

In 2003, EarthSky became the first-ever radio recipient of the prestigious “Public Service Award”:http://www.nsf.gov/nsb/awards/public/public_recipients.htm#2003 from the “National Science Board”:http://www.nsf.gov/nsb/ – advisors to the President and Congress.
EarthSky received the NSB award for _”its achievement in broadcasting explanations of research and everyday science to a worldwide audience.”_
